Tiger Woods is inarguably one of the most dominant golfers in the history of professional golf, but he has not been performing anywhere near his best in recent years, and that continued during this weekend’s Open Championship as he missed the cut at yet another major championship.

On Friday, Tiger Woods finished with a 6-over 77 in the second round at Royal Troon Golf Club, leaving him with a 36-hole total of 14-over 156. Given that the cut was projected at 4 over for the tournament, Woods missed the cut by a very wide margin.

This marks Woods’ worst score to par after the first two rounds in 23 starts at The Open, eclipsing his previous worst of 9 over at St. Andrews in Scotland in 2022.

After missing the cut at this week’s tournament, Woods has now missed the cut or withdrawn in six of his past seven majors.

Needless to say, it’s pretty horrible news that one of golf’s most legendary players cannot seem to make a cut at this point in his career, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

This disappointing finish marks the last time that fans will see Woods on the PGA Tour this season.
