Patrick Reed and his caddy don’t want any noise on the golf course.
Cameras caught up with Reed in European Tour action on the tenth hole where his caddy bizarrely started making gestures towards the people filming before Reed stepped aside. The people filming – who were doing their job – were called out for “rattling change” in their pocket.
Golfers need complete focus when on the green, as even the slightest noises can distract them. In this case, inadvertent change in one of the camera operators pockets served as a deterrent. Reed and his caddy were in the right to tell him to stop jingling his change, but the duo still comes off sort of dick-ish for doing so they way they did.
At the end of the day, the camera guy was just doing his job. So was Reed. Nobody is really in the wrong here.
