United States President Donald Trump received some unwelcome news this weekend after one of his prized golf courses became the target of vandals. And it appears they aren’t finished yet, issuing him a pretty brutal warning.
Trump, who owns several golf resorts across the country, holds his Turnberry course in Scotland in particularly high esteem. As a venue that has hosted multiple Open Championships, it is one of the most prestigious properties he owns.
Unfortunately, this week, it became the focus of an act of vandalism that also served as a pretty brutal warning to the president.
Over the weekend, pro-Palestine activists defaced the course, dousing the clubhouse in red paint, spraying graffiti across the property, and even damaging several putting greens.
The activist group Palestine Action has claimed responsibility for the incident, making it clear that it was a response to Trump’s recent comments about the Gaza Strip.
Trump suggested that the United States could seize control of the region and redevelop it with luxury resorts.
In a statement, the group declared that it “rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he likes.”
And they didn’t stop there. The group also delivered a brutal warning to Trump, strongly hinting that this may not be their last action against him.
“To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance,” the statement read.
It’s clear that the president has been put on notice by the group behind the vandalism.
