Madden NFL 99 featured 20 players with a 99 or 100 rating, by far the most of any season. Five of those players received a perfect 100 rating, but perfect 100 ratings were eliminated in favor of 99 ratings for Madden 2002.

Madden 2007 had the second most players with perfect ratings, as the following players achieved the prestigious honor:

  • Peyton Manning (Colts)
  • Antonio Gates (Chargers)
  • Lorenzo Neal (Chargers)
  • Ed Reed (Ravens)
  • Champ Bailey (Broncos)
  • Walter Jones (Seahawks)
  • Shane Lechler (Raiders)

Here are the top rated players for the game made available on Nintendo 64, Playstation and Microsoft Windows, courtesy of Madden Ratings:

Jerry Rice – WR (49ers) – 100 Rating

Mark Chmura – TE (Packers) – 100
