The Portland Trailblazers took on the defending champion Miami Heat Thursday night. It came down to the wire and Trailblazers foward Wesley Matthews came up huge at the end. Matthews buried two three-pointers in the final minute that gave Portland the W.
The first of the two threes tied the game up 88-88 with just under a minute to play. Matthews was left wide open in the corner and knocked down the open jumper with ease.
The second, and ultimately game-winning three, came with the Trailblazers down 88-90 with only 26 seconds to play. Matthews hit a step-back trey ball over Miami’s Ray Allen. Allen had a chance to hit a game-winner for the Heat, but threw up a rare miss and Portland came out on top.
