Apparently Ice T hasn’t fully descended into wackness on Law & Order SVU….yet. He’s come up for air and back to his roots to conceive and direct this documentary.
As Ice says, “rap music saved my life” – and he’s bringing some of the oldies and goodies back to life by doing this doc. Included in the roster of people Ice brings in for questioning: Rakim, Raekwon, Grandmaster Caz, Doug E Fresh, Q-Tip, KRS-One, Chuck D, Mos Def, Common, Eminem, Run & DMC…the list goes on and on. I for one am pretty damn excited, feeling like a little girl in a candy store!
The film premiered at Sundance this Saturday to a bit of a feistier crowd than they are used to seeing – check it out!
