England’s Premier

Tottenham 0 West Ham 3

West Ham took advantage of their few chances from set pieces and counter attacks and shocked Spurs with three second half goals after a rather soft attack to start the game. Tottenham looked uninspired as the big money signings did little, yet the £500k man Ravel Morrison made the moment of the match with this slaloming run through the Tottenham D.

Norwich City 1 Chelsea 3

Finally getting a chance on the pitch, Willian showed why Chelsea splashed the cash this summer for the Brazilian. After his countryman Oscar’s early goal and subsequence response by Norwich, it was the introduction of Willian in the second half that sparked their final two scores.

West Brom 1 Arsenal 1

After a week of English papers stirring shit and getting caught smoking a cig, Jack Wilshire delivered the equalizing goal (albeit by deflection) for the Gunners. Smoke two next week Jackie, maybe you’ll score a brace.

Southampton 2 Swansea City 0

Wait, the Saints are in the top 4? It’s obviously early, but this is one of the nice early season stories in the EPL. Southampton have only conceded two goals through the first seven games (leading the league) when they had given up 20 at this stage of the season last year. Known for churning out elite talent through their youth academy, they are showing their ability early in this campaign.

juventus v ac milan

Elsewhere in Europe

Juventus 3 AC Milan 2

Sulley Muntari scored 19 seconds in for Milan, but Juve came back behind two free kick goals from Andrea Pirlo and Sebastian Giovinco, the sending off of Philippe Mexes, and a final capper by Giogio Chiellini. The battle between the two Italian giants went the way of the Torin side, who now trail Roma by two points at the top of the table. AC Milan remain in 12th place with only eight points from the first seven matches.

Atletico Madrid 2 Celta Vigo 1

Atleti keep the momentum rolling with their eighth win in a row and avoided the potential hangover performance after their Milan Derby victory last week.

Napoli 4 Livorno 0

Napoli continue their good form with another three points and second place in Serie A ahead of the Juve/Milan clash this afternoon.

Hamburg 5 Nurnburg 0

Rafa van der Vaart dusted off his scissorboots for this beauty to get Hamburg on their way to a route.
