England’s Premier
Aston Villa 3 Manchester City 2
Despite the loss of Christian Benteke, Villa came back twice to beat City in an exciting match and big win for the home side. Andreas Weiman’s tap around Joe Hart sealed the win as it rolled into goal past the outstretched leg of Nastasic.

Manchester United 1 West Brom 2
United loses for the second time in two weeks in this poor performance at Old Trafford against West Brom. A calm chip by Morgan Amalfitano and a beatiful winner by Berahino gave the Baggies the win despite another free kick goal by Rooney. Fun/sad fact depending on how you view United: they have not scored from open play since week one.
Tottenham 1 Chelsea 1
Strong start by Spurs, but the second half signaled a change with John Terry heading in an open header off a Juan Mata free kick. Torres was Chelsea’s primary force moving forward and was unlucky to be sent off with his second yellow card, although his clawing of Jan Vertonghen drew some well-deserved criticism.
Swansea City 1 Arsenal 2
Aaron Ramsey’s golden boot continues to deliver fortune for the Gunners, who started slow but two goals in ten second half minutes against Swans was enough today. In news that won’t shock the sporting world, Mesut Ozil has good footwork.
Fulham 1 Cardiff City 2
A couple of gorgeous goals including a 25-yard curler from Bryan Ruiz and an extra-time winner from Jordon Mutch.
Hull City 1 West Ham United 0
Hull wins off an early penalty, but the highlight comes in a review. Yes, a review. The most exciting review since the goal-line technology was thankfully introduced to the Premier League this year. The Hammers had a good shot at a penalty in their own favor late in the match, but the ref was having none of it.
Southampton 2 Crystal Palace 0
Summer signing Pablo Osvaldo scored first for Southampton and Ricky Lambert followed it up with a fine free kick of his own to seal the three points.
