AFC East
It is a reloading year for the New England Patriots passing attack, as Bill Belichick and company try to replace some big names. Of the players who left, some had some interesting things to say about Belichick. Wes Welker said that it became hard to endure Belichick’s coaching style. Aaron Hernandez recalled that Belichick constantly trying to get him to watch the Showtime series Dexter and take notes.
The Buffalo Bills made some huge moves this off-season. The Bills traded down to the 16th pick and drafted E.J. Manuel to make sure that no one had the opportunity to draft their guy in the 3rd round. The Bills also made a big change at head coach, outbidding Akron, Eastern Michigan, and Alabama A&T for Doug Marrone, who had been doing a phenomenal job keeping the Syracuse Orange above .500.
The 2013 season for Rex Ryan and the New York Jets will be like a blimp pilot who just took a better paying job with MetLife; the Goodyears are behind him. Wait I can do better. If the Patriots offense is a smart phone operating at 4G LTE speeds then the Jets offense just traded in their AOL minutes for Alta Vista.
The Miami Dolphins spent $60 million bringing in Mike Wallace. Trying to improve their offense by spending this much on a wide receiver is like when the attention hungry kid at your high school brought spinning rims for his mom’s mini van. Just because you spend money on it doesn’t make it any less of a mini van.
