The Atlanta Falcons have all of the tools to win now. They have the coach, the QB production, the weapons, and the defense. They added Steven Jackson to replace a barely passable Micheal Turner. Atlanta is in such a good position Tony Gonzalez even put off time with the kids, fishing trips, and joining class action law suits against the NFL for another year to play for a Super Bowl with this team.

The slogan for the New Orleans Saints should be: All the talent, none of the distractions. Its hard to remember without being beaten over the head with it every day by sports media, but we are only one year removed from the Saints starting the season with 3rd string head coach. The only bounty being talked about in New Orleans is the bounty of joy one feels after winning in the NFL.

Did you forget about Cam Newton because of Russell Wilson, RGIII, and Colin Kaepernick? Did you miss Luke Kuekly because of J.J. Watt? Don’t look now but the Carolina Panthers have some pieces in place to be a great team. Except… did you forget about Steve Smith because the year Smith was drafted was the same year Harry Potter (1 of 7), Lord of the Rings (1 of 3), and Shrek (1 of 4), all came out? Did you forget about DeAngelo Williams because since 2008 when he scored 18 touchdowns, he has scored 20 TDs total? I’m not saying the Panthers will be bad, I’m just saying you will have to be quite good to finish in the top half of the NFC South.
Speaking of teams with an uphill battle to win the NFC South, lets talk Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The biggest addition for the Bucs was Darrell Revis. Revis and the Bucs plan to rededicate ‘Revis Island’ as ‘Alcatraz.’ The new name is an homage to Revis’ former rival while he played in New York Aaron Hernandez,  and in part because as of last season, Revis Island was no longer an active and serviceable facility.
