Mark Cuban continues to be one of the most transparent owners in sports today, and this latest move solidifies that. The Mavericks spent the summer trying to land the services of Dwight Howard, but in the end they fell short as Howard chose to head to Houston. In an attempt to explain why so much effort and time went into one player Cuban released a telling blog on his website which even included the pitch video he created for Dwight. Mark also explained that he has no regrets about putting everything on hold to land the big fella.
Would i do it the same way again ? In a heartbeat. Why ? Because in the NBA, like in the non-sports business world you have to take chances in order to be rewarded. You have to be smart and you have to be more than a little lucky.
