11. Max Scherzer’s Dominance
Scherzer’s first half numbers were absolutely off the charts this year. Despite pitching in the AL, Scherzer was still able to post a 13-1 record, recording a sub-1.00 WHIP and 152 Ks in 129.2 innings of work. Scherzer was elected to start the All-Star Game for the AL, and didn’t allow a hit.
