6. A.J. Burnett, Starting Pitcher
The marriage of Burnett and the Pirates seemed to be going along well until it took a bizarre twist towards the end. After skipping Burnett’s second start in the NLDS, the Buccos opted not to offer him a qualifying offer. When Burnett’s stuff is on he can be as good as anyone in the game, but when he’s off HE IS OFF. At 36 years of age it will be interesting to see who gives him another shot.
