You can chalk this up to pure good luck, or else I have no clue how Nick O’Leary could have walked away from this accident unharmed. Florida State Seminoles tight end Nick O’Leary (who is also the grandson of legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus) got into a large motorcycle back in May 2013, and the video of the crash was just released.
Nick was riding his motorcycle in Tallahassee, Fla. back in May when a Lexus unexpectedly pulled out in front of him, causing Nick to be ejected from his bike and skid some 75-100 yards into the windshield of a Star Metro Bus. As you can see from the video somehow Nick was able to just get up and walk away. O’Leary was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. When Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher was asked about the crash he mentioned that Nick “was banged up for about a month.”
The fact that he was able to just stand up and walk away from this horrifying accident is enough to think this young man will be a force to be reckoned with on the football field.
