Just hours after Kobe Bryant ripped former Lakers teammate Smush Parker for costing him the MVP back in the ’05-’06 sesason, calling him “the worst,” and saying “he shouldn’t have been in the NBA but we were too cheap to pay for a point guard. So we let him walk on,” Parker is firing back at Kobe with some words of his own.
Parker took shots at Kobe, calling him a “diva” and said that Kobe is only blaming him for not earning MVP honors because Parker once had the audacity to say that Kobe was “overrated” as a teammate. Bryant lost the MVP to Steve Nash, who joined the Lakers this offseason, and discussed why he thinks he lost the title stating, “I tell Steve, you won MVP, but I was playing with Smush Parker.” Parker went on to say that Bryant was a terrible teammate and wouldn’t even talk to the other members of the Lakers.
Parker told TMZ: Kobe “told me out his own mouth that I couldn’t talk to him. That my accolades under my belt weren’t deserving enough for me to talk to him.”
Kobe Bryant hated by another former teammate? What a shocker.
