First rule of robbery as a basketball player: when you steal things, make sure you aren’t stealing from your own coach.
Four Hofstra basketball players were arrested on burglary charges stemming from their part in six campus dorm rooms being broken into, and according to the NY Post the lot included Hofstra’s basketball coach’s property. The arrested players were listed as Kentrell Washington, 18, of Las Vegas; Jimmy Hall, 18, of Brooklyn; Dallas Anglin, 18, of Montclair, N.J.; and Shaquille Stokes, 20, of Manhattan.
Police say cash, a laptop, headphones, three MacBook Pros, an Apple iPod, two Apple iPads and an Apple iTouch were taken in six burglaries on the Uniondale campus between Oct. 4 and Nov. 5. In a statement, Hofstra says the four men’s basketball team members have been suspended from the university until an outcome from trial can be determined.
Stokes was charged with five counts of second-degree burglary; Washington was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary; Hall was charged with four counts of second degree burglary; and Anglin was charged with one count of second-degree burglary and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
