On Wednesday, the Cleveland Browns placed Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the Browns’ move, along with a series of others, to place players on the PUP list.
However, Browns fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
Browns placed RB Nick Chubb (knee), OT Jack Conklin (knee), OT Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) and DT Dalvin Tomlinson (knee) on the PUP list.

Why? Because despite Chubb’s placement, there’s still a positive. According to Mary Kay Cabot, all the players the team placed on the PUP list will be eligible to return at the start of the 2024 NFL season.
All of the #Browns players who start camp on PUP or NFI — including Nick Chubb who will go on PUP — will remain on the active roster and eligible to return upon passing a physical. List coming soon.

Chubb suffered a terrible knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers, ending his season. It was the second time in his football career that the running back suffered a debilitating knee injury. But he came back from the last one and can still come back from this one. He will have plenty of people rooting for him.
