Jordan Brand is holding a preview of its 2014 holiday lineup in New York City and there were a couple of surprises on display. @DeadstockNYC was on hand to take some pictures of (some of) what Jordan Brand has planned for the Fall and Winter shopping blitz.
First, there were the releases which have already been hinted at for a bit. There’s the retro Air Jordan 6 ‘Infrared’, an original colorway that is absolute fire:
The “Grey Toe” Air Jordan 13 has also been making the sneaker blog rotation, so seeing it at the event wasn’t a huge shocker.
The Jordan Future, which Jordan Brand has been flooding the market with lately, will be getting the classy black leather and gum sole treatment.
However, Jordan Brand also had a couple nice surprises that they managed to keep under wraps. They debuted a brand new black-red colorway for the retro Jordan 13 which has an all black upper with red accents on the caps (unlike the original “Playoff” model which featured white caps and an all black upper).
And they showed off a new black and white colorway with elephant print for the upcoming Jordan XX9. Sadly, it’s a similar blocking scheme to the planned black-red with elephant print so this one won’t show off the creative design potential of the new weave technology that Jordan Brand has been trumpeting for its latest signature shoe.
Add to this the holiday drop for the Jordan XI “Legend Blue” and you have one holiday season filled to the brim with quality Jordan releases. Remember to save a little dough to buy gifts for other people as well this year.
