During Andy Murray’s first round at the U.S. Open on Tuesday, eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that Murray, an Under Armour athlete decked out in Under Armour attire, was wearing Adidas’ Barricade 8 sneakers for his match.
Murray has been wearing Adidas, who he previously had an endorsement deal with, while Under Armour has been busy making a hard court shoe for him.

According to For the Win, Murray did rock UA tennis shoes for grass courts earlier this year.
Of course, Under Armour made sure to only include photos of Murray from his chest up in photos that the brand posted to Twitter on Tuesday. The last thing that UA wanted to do was give the Three Stripes any kind of positive press.

Adidas was not without its own Twitter tricks though. The brand threw some shade at their apparel rival with a clever tweet of their own that highlighted Murray’s current sneakers.

Now, that is some good tweeting.
