On Tuesday, the NBA and Adidas unveiled the uniforms that will be worn at this year’s All-Star game in New York City. Surprisingly, the league that is constantly experimenting with new, “hip” uniforms decided to go back to basics and design a very simple look for this year’s All-Star festivities.
Pictured above is the jersey that will be worn by players representing the Eastern Conference, while the Western Conference jerseys can be found below:
Both jerseys feature five stars running down the sides of the jersey, with each star representing one of the Five Boroughs of New York. The back of the jerseys will display players full names, with the individual’s first name running above the jersey number, and their surname underneath it:
It’ll be interesting to see how good full names will look on the back, as it’s something I don’t think I’ve ever seen on a sports jersey before.
The best part of the new All-Star ensemble, however, is the shooting shirts. You can’t go wrong with a vintage look like this:
