Lost amid all the anticipation for Sunday’s season finale for Game of Thrones was the fact that George R.R. Martin actually threw out a first pitch at a minor league baseball game on Friday.
While most Game of Thrones fans would rather handcuff Martin to his keyboard in order to force him to finish the novels that Game of Thrones is based on, it’s cool to see Martin and his trusty suspenders out and about, even if it’s just to throw out the first pitch at a random Isotopes game. You would think Martin could carry enough clout to get to do the first pitch at a major league game. Maybe he’ll have to threaten to kill more Game of Thrones characters first.
