Well, someone’s getting fired over this.
On Monday, Wal-Mart apologized for a massive oversight on it’s online store. Under its selection of Halloween costumes, the retailer inexplicably had one section that was stupidly labeled “Fat Girl Costumes.”
The only thing that rivals the awfulness of labeling anything “Fat Girl Costumes” is how cheap those costumes actually look. The company couldn’t say much else than this on the matter:
“This never should have been on our site,” a spokesperson from Walmart told Mashable. “It is unacceptable, and we apologize. We are working to remove it as soon as possible and ensure this never happens again.”
All items have now been moved to a section entitled “Women’s Plus Size Halloween Costumes.”
