Forest fires destroy thousands of acres of land and tons of homes every year and 2015 has been no exception. British Columbia has seen dozens of fires sprout up over the last month, with 50 new fires starting over the weekend alone. Many of those fires have come in the Kootenays, a region in southeastern British Columbia, with some threatening homes and lives, including in and around the small city of Nelson.
Adrian Wagner captured footage of one fire outside of Nelson around Duhamel Creek over the weekend. He posted a time-lapse of the fire and it’s beyond terrifying:
