On the heels of his huge performance at this years’ Grammys, I’ve realized that Chris Brown is definitely the latest beneficiary of the apparent “golden rule” in sports and entertainment these days…
As far as I’ve collected (I’m still working on an exact definition), as long you’re REALLY REALLY REALLY good at something, your past indiscretions (regardless of their heinous/disturbing nature) are immediately forgiven and you are publicly embraced and respected by the masses!
Others who have benefitted from “The Golden Rule”: Michael Jackson, Ben Roethlisberger, Ray Lewis, Kobe Bryant, O.J. Simpson, Plaxico Burress, Michael Vick, Pete Rose and Mike Tyson (just to name a few).
