Stephen Colbert is slated to take over The Late Show from David Letterman and if his promo commercial is any indication, it should be fantastic television. Although Letterman is a legend and one of show biz’s all-time greats, the change of pace will be nice and could open new doors for late night television, similarly to Jimmy Fallon crushing his opportunity with Late Night.
It’s far too soon to assume Colbert will be a rousing success on CBS (even though we all know he will be) but he’s starting off on the right foot with his fantastic puppy-filled commercial:
