New Jersey Institute of Technology pulled off a shocking college hoops upset on Saturday, as the Highlanders beat the No. 17 Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor. It appears that the baffling game flustered ESPN a tad as well. First, anchor Doug Kezirian botched NJIT’s name, calling them the Islanders (before correcting himself). Second, their snapshot graphic of NJIT included a very poor spelling error.
Maybe they should enlist one of the network’s Spelling Bee champions to help them spell “independent” correctly:
