If you’ve been hesitant about taking the NBA League Pass plunge, tonight is as good an excuse as any to dive in. The defending champion Miami Heat visit the entertaining and better-than-advertised Atlanta Hawks in a match-up of Southeast Division rivals. And adding to tonight’s festivities will be rapper T.I., who will join Hawks broadcast duo Bob Rathbun and Duane Ferrell in the booth to provide color commentary.
The Atlanta native is a regular presence on the sideline at Philips Arena — at least when he’s not serving out prison sentences — but this will be his first foray into the broadcast booth. He’s only expected to stay for two quarters, but hopefully the broadcasting bug bites and he sticks around a little longer. The game is being broadcast locally on FOX Sports South, so the only way to watch Tip comment on Josh Smith’s ill-advised 18-foot jumpers is to fork over the dough.
