Corporal Russ Moseley, an Afghanistan War veteran, is no longer serving overseas but he experienced some severe sadness this week after putting down his fellow war veteran, Canvas. Canvas is a black lab that served alongside him in 2010, sniffing out bombs and other potential trouble for Moseley and his unit. She returned healthy and happy to the United States and has lived with Moseley ever since, that is until this week when he was forced to put her down.
