To be quite frank, we miss the jersey era of hip-hop. At the turn of the century, the rap game took on an athletic aesthetic, as emcees began to don jerseys and other athletic apparel in their videos, on tour, and on their album covers (as well as TV appearances).
Nowadays, it seems as if the jersey trend has been bucked, as rappers are opting for a more chic look. However, we’re here to look back on the days when throwbacks and alternates graced emcees instead of kilts and tuxes.
