Before speaking in Miami on Friday, President Obama took a minute to console (and perhaps poke a little fun at) Miami Heat fans.
President Obama is a known Chicago Bulls fan, and after the Bulls ended the Heat’s streak of 27 games — the second longest in NBA history — on Wednesday, Obama was obviously happy for his Bulls. He consoled the fans of Miami by letting them know that the Heat “will be just fine.”
President Obama went on to congratulate the Miami Hurricanes on their great season and let the people know that, with the Florida Gators and the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles still in the NCAA Tournament, the state of Florida is “the center of basketball right now.”
