Paul Ryan is a Miami of Ohio grad from 1992, and the Vice Presidential hopeful tried his hand at giving the pregame speech to the Redhawks before they played Ohio State on Saturday. In theory, this was a good idea, but the speech itself left a little to be desired. The ending was especially painful, as I even winced hearing Paul Ryan say the phrase “make it count.” Thank goodness that Vice Presidential candidates have speechwriters. Ohio State thrashed Miami (OH) 56-10 shortly after the speech.
