Patton Oswalt is having a fantastic week year. First, as the bumbling Constable Bob, he took down a mob hitman (after getting the crap kicked out of him) in arguably the best episode of Justified ever. A few days ago, he delivered beautiful and poignant commentary in the wake of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon. Fast forward to Thursday, and he’s set to guest star on Parks & Rec as a citizen at a town hall meeting. But that’s not even the best part of his appearance.
NBC released an unedited clip of a lengthy filibuster where Oswalt improvises the entire plot of Star Wars: Episode VII — at least his version, that is. It’s worth a watch, especially with Amy Poehler playing along for the duration. It’s absurd and genius work from a true nerd, and one of the best comedians in the business.
