The idea of Batman cosplaying a Transformer while driving a tank around to blow shit up with very large guns may seem out-of-character for a superhero who usually stealthily operates in the shadows while striking fear into the hearts of criminals (and one that really doesn’t like guns. Seriously, the dude had a rather traumatic experience with guns as a child). Yet, that is the exact experience that Rocksteady’s Arkham Knight will deliver for players. It may run contrary to the ethos of Batman, there’s no denying that this looks awesome:
Gotham City looks fantastic in all of its neon glory and the landscape that Rocksteady has built is impressive. The gliding and transitioning into fights is also very promising so the game definitely captured that element of Batman very well.
Also, you have to love how the game explicitly states that the tanks which oppose Batman are unmanned in order to avoid the idea of Batman actually murdering people with his cool new toys. Batman may be willing to do many things, but killing homicidal maniacs isn’t one of them.
