Very surprising week in my opinion. Another country act steals the show from what some saw as a lock for #1 first week.
Sugarland claims the top spot with their new album, TheIncredible Machine, which debuts after selling a total of 207k. That was beyond surprising to see them beat out Kings of Leon, who ended up selling a disappointing 187k. I don’t blame folks for not buying the album, very overrated in my opinion.
In all, there are seven newcomers to the Top 10, withElton John & Leon Russell #3, with 78k, Rod Stewart debuting just behind it at #4 with 76k. Lil’ Wayne is still in the Top 5, followed by Glee CastRocky Horror Glee Show (#6), Shakira (#7) and Third Day (#10). Eminem (#8) and Darius Rucker (#9) round out the Top 10. My favorite currently The Black Keys made a big jump from #46 to #37.
Who cares really? Next week Ms. Taylor Swift owns all.
