My second favorite track of the year (sorry, Bird’s Eye View is just too good to drop from #1), comes from Detroit’s own Black Milk. The song has been out for a while, but now less than a week from the release of No Poison No Paradise, visuals accompany the beautiful two part song. I still get a chill or two when the beat for Sunday’s Worst begins. First discovered on Real Hip Hop Heads – one of the best Facebook groups on the platform. If this song is you, that page is for you too. They put out a monthly two-disc compilation of the best hip hop songs and September just released the other day as well featuring new tracks featuring RJD2, Lupe, Pusha T, Freddie Gibbs/Madlib, and a lot of cats I’ve never heard of (but excited to sample).
