First, yes, apparently Smash Mouth is still around and performing concerts. The band made popular in the late 1990’s from hits “Sun” and “All-Star” was at the Taste of Fort Collins in Colorado over the weekend and things took an unexpected turn after an idiotic fan threw something at lead singer Steve Harwell.
Just as they were about to perform “All-Star”, Harwell became infuriated and began approaching the crowd, appearing to specifically point at an area of the crowd. He was held back by security before grabbing a mic and threatening to beat the piss out of them in NSFW fashion:
