Whether or not Mumford & Sons are your thing (or if they were your thing, then they became everybody’s thing, so then they became not your thing), you have to admit that this music video for “Hopeless Wanderer” is extremely clever.
The video plays out like an SNL spoof of a Mumford & Sons video would have and it shows that the most loved/hated band in the world is very aware of their image and are not afraid to poke fun at their overdramatic, commercialized brand of folk music.
Good on them and a job well done by Wil Forte, Ed Helms, and Jasons Sudeikis and Bateman for nailing this one on the head.
