It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 20 years since Space Jam first hit the big screen. A lot has changed in the sports world since then, but sportscaster Jim Rome – who made a cameo to rip Michael Jordan’s baseball abilities in the film – is still around and cashing checks as a television personality.
He’s lucky, too, because if he had relied on his career as an actor to pay the bills, he’d probably be living in a van down by the river right now. Rome took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that he’s still receiving residuals from his :30 second cameo in ‘Space Jam.’ His most recent big pay day? A whopping $6.38. Retirement, here we come!

Maybe Rome can pool his money with Adam Schefter’s royalties from ‘The Longest Yard’ and they can ride off into the sunset together.
