Red Letter Media really made their mark on the internet with the release of their review of everything wrong with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (which clocked in at just over an hour of analysis).
In a much more efficient deconstruction of summer blockbusters, Jay, Mike and Rich at RLM decided to watch all three Transformers movies at the same time.
On the one hand, that’s completely nuts because every single Transformers movie has more action and noise packed into it per second than most movies have in their entire run time. On the other hand, when an entire film franchise can best be described as “a shitload of explosions”, it makes a perverse kind of sense to review them all at once. It’s not like things like “character development” and “plot” matters much in films based on characters that were created specifically to sell toys.
