Darth Vader apparently had too many Mike’s Hard Lemonades during the pregame festivities. The Manchester Monarchs, AHL affiliate for the Los Angeles Kings, held Star Wars Night on Sunday to celebrate their mascot’s birthday and they didn’t even make it to the opening faceoff without an incident. The Monarchs wanted to bring their mascot, Max the Lion, and Darth Vader onto the ice for a ceremonial puck drop but apparently forgot that ice is slippery.
Our boy Darth made it about three feet onto the surface before taking a monster digger, one that probably caused some damages to the outfit and kissed his costume deposit goodbye.
