In an interview with Jim Rome, Kobe Bryant was asked how he would’ve reacted to former Rutgers head coach Mike Rice’s abusive behavior if he were a player at Rutgers. Bryant response? “I would’ve smacked the hell out of him.”
Rice was fired from his head coaching position after footage surfaced of him abusing his players during practices. While that is easy for Bryant to say now considering he has never and probably will never be in that situation, it’s still hard to imagine an 18-year-old Bryant swinging on his head coach.
