Watching postgame press conferences during the 2014 NBA Finals has been a rather cringe-worthy experience. First of all, for both head coaches — Gregg Popovich and Erik Spoelstra — this ain’t their first rodeo. Second, the Big Three for Miami and San Antonio — the players most likely to field questions from reporters after each game — all have multiple rings, and even more Finals appearances. As such, the usual interview subjects ain’t got time for your silly questions.
Tuesday night was a prime example of that — or, was it? Some reporter named “Bobby Ramos” (who, for all we know isn’t a real reporter) asked Erik Spoelstra a long-winded “question” (it was really more of a statement) that Spoelstra sighed and gave a one-word answer for. Next, Ramos fired off an equally-asinine “question” to LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, who could only laugh off his rambling comments about their “lackluster” defense and offense — and which was to blame for them not breaking 100 points in the series.
We have no evidence — at the moment — but it definitely feels like shenanigans:
