The downfall of rapper Kanye West continues.
Last October, athletic apparel giant Adidas formerly terminated the contract of their longtime partner after a series of antisemitic comments and other unhinged actions.
A new report from The New York Times details just how disturbing West got in that time.
According to the report, West advised a Jewish Adidas member to “kiss a picture of Hitler every day, and he told a member of the company’s executive board that he had paid a seven-figure settlement to one of his own senior employees who accused him of repeatedly praising the Holocaust.
“I feel super disrespected in this ‘partnership,’ West wrote in a text message to the company obtained by The Times. “I’ve never felt understood,” he wrote in another.
“He routinely sought more money and power, even suggesting that he should become Adidas’ chief executive,” The Times reported.
West, diagnosed with bipolar disorder, reportedly rejected the assessment and resisted treatment. Tears were “common” as was his “fury.”
Reading the report, it’s almost astonishing the partnership lasted as long as it did before West forced the company’s hand by repeatedly praising Hitler.
The world was quick to react to the disgusting display of antisemitism from Kanye West:
I am just spitballing here but maybe elevating people to godlike "genius" status for a couple of good albums is a bad idea? https://t.co/tKKlFafMvu

The more we learn about Kanye the more we realize how much of a confessional “Black Skinhead” really was.

Wow: "After reviewing a number of unsatisfactory fabric swatches and shoe designs, West allegedly grabbed one of the sketches and drew a swastika on the toe to convey his dislike of the sneaker. It only got worse from there."

They knew exactly what he was like as he put his beliefs out there day in and day out with them. They put profits ahead of his anti semitism, his constant abusive behaviour and his temper tantrums. Only when it became public and tarnished their image did the do anything. Ugh.
