You probably weren’t expecting Joseph Kahn to create a super dark ‘Power Rangers’ short film starring Dawson’s Creek and Varsity Blues headliner James Van Der Beek, but here we are, you guys.
The film – which features some pretty awesome special effects, a whole lot of graphic violence, and a little bit of nudity – is the R-rated adaptation of the children’s series that you never knew you needed in your life.
It’s nearly 15 minutes long but, surprisingly, it was impressive enough to hold my attention the entire way through. You should give it a shot. My only complaint is that it doesn’t include a scene of Van Der Beek crying.
