This was suppose to be a perfect moment. Some high school dude on the track & field team had the perfect idea to ask a girl to prom. He would quietly grab the PA mic either during or following (it’s difficult to tell in the video) a heavily attended meet and ask a lovely girl to prom. She would say yes, they would hug and/or kiss in the middle of the field, the crowd would erupt in applause and the video would grab a few thousand views on YouTube.
Although the video will definitely grab more than a few thousand YouTube views, everything else in that scenario did not pan out like he expected. Watch one of the most embarrassing and painful prom proposals you will ever see.
