Magic +9 @ Grizzlies
Both the Magic and the Grizzlies have been struggling recently, which means this should be a shitshow of a game. The Magic are riding a 5-game losing streak and are 2-9 in back-to-backs this season. Sounds logical to bet on them, right? Well, maybe against the Grizzlies it is a good idea. The Grizz have lost their last two games to the Clippers and Warriors by a combined 46 points and are 4-7 in Memphis on the season. I love the matchup for the Magic because their youth and athleticism should work well for them against the older and slower Grizzlies. Memphis looks like a lost team defensively without Marc Gasol and Nikola Vucevic should find room to operate on the block against Zach Randolph. I’m going with the Magic to win outright. Magic by 4.
Blazers -7 @ Jazz

I usually don’t like betting against Utah or Denver at home but the Jazz are so horrible (or so great at tanking!!!!) that they need to be bet against in this game. This is a homecoming of sorts for Damian Lillard, who went to Weber State, which is located in Utah. He’s going to have a huge game and the Blazers are going to win by double digits. Blazers by 12.
Mavericks -4 @ Kings
Only the Kings would acquire Rudy Gay, pay him $19 million dollars, trade away Greivis Vasquez, and justify it by saying that pairing Gay and newly acquired Derrick Williams was a perfect fit for their team. ONLY THE KINGS!!! I loved this trade so much that I thought about buying season tickets to the Kings, but then I realized I would be the only one with Kings season tickets. It seriously doesn’t matter if Rudy Gay plays for the Kings tonight or not because either way they are going to lose at home to the Mavericks. The Kings are 5-13 on the season and are a putrid 3-9 in Sacramento. Having Boogie Cousins as the leader of an NBA team might be a horrendous idea. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are playing an inspired brand of basketball and have defeated the Kings in 15 of their past 16 matchups. Edge Mavericks. I hope Rudy Gay does play, actually. He’ll provide so much entertainment and so many bad shots for the Kings. Mavericks by 18.
