The Strain, an FX horror series set to debut on July 13th, released a series of very questionable and creepy billboards, posters and other promotional items over the last few months.
The show’s overall theme remains unclear due to the ambiguously odd and tantalizing trailers, previews, and advertisements but the anticipation appears to be building.
Unfortunately that anticipation took a hit, albeit minor, over the weekend as FX agreed to remove a few billboards amid complaints that they were too creepy, including this one:
