During Monday night’s game between the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat, a fan proposed to his girlfriend after making her believe she had been “randomly” chosen to take a half-court shot.
After missing what she believed to be a half-court shot worth $1,000 that she had been randomly selected out of the crowd to take, the unsuspecting girlfriend received a consolation prize from her boyfriend that was (hopefully) worth a lot more than what she would’ve won by making the shot. Lucky for the guy, the Amway Center’s game operations staff executed the decoy to perfection, and even luckier, she said “yes.”
Unfortunately this did not help the Magic win, and LeBron James and the Miami Heat extended their unbeaten streak to 27 games.
