Could 2017 be another year of great films?
We’ve had a lot of opportunities to see touching stories and epic moments from World War II. Films like Saving Private Ryan and shows such as Band of Brothers have kept viewers on their toes while giving intimate tales of the brave men who took part in the greatest war ever fought. With so much out there, then, the question must be asked: will it ever get old?
If the announcement trailer (Or teaser? Maybe?) of Christopher Nolan’s new film Dunkirk is any indication, then the answer is a resounding no. It’s only a minute long, and it’s relatively quiet, and yet it easily can give you chills in only a few seconds.
Watch that last part again. And again. Nolan makes it seem so easy to grab our attention. Is he just toying with us now? Here’s betting our next preview will be somehow more intense.
