After an amusing, but harmless, tweet of Chris Christie pouring a small bag of M&M’s into a large bag entertained the masses for a few days, it continues to make headlines. Now, the New Jersey governor is trying to defend something that isn’t even worthy of a defense. Christie eats M&M’s like a savage. That’s it.
Nope. Christie called into the Boomer & Carton radio show to discuss it (via SportsGrid).
Christie: “The reason I called in this morning was your dopey Twitter following of the story of me and M&Ms. There’s bag inside the box, you dope.”
Carton: “Why not just eat them out of the bag?”
Christie: “I’ll tell you why, because it’s easier to hold. You get the box, you open the box, there’s a bag inside the box, why they do it that way, I have no idea, but you open up the bag, you pour the bag inside the box, so it’s easier to hold.”
